Now, create an illustrated quote graphic with your chosen blessing and your Shamrock painting from the previous lesson. Follow these instructions and/or watch the video below.

  1. Scan your shamrock painting or take a photo of it. Upload it to your computer
  2. Log into Canva
  3. Click "Social Media" to create a design
  4. Title your design
  5. From Elements, select grids. Click on the first grid shown.
  6. Upload the scan/photo of your shamrock painting to Canva.
  7. Drag your picture to the work area.
  8. Select "text" and "add a heading"
  9. Copy your chosen Irish Blessing from the website
  10. Paste the blessing in the text box
  11. Adjust the font color, size and location as needed
  12. If it is hard to read your text because of the background image, add a transparent box behind the blessing.
    • Choose "Elements", then "Shapes"
    • Select a shape and drag it to your work area
    • Click "back" so that the text is on top
    • Adjust the color and transparency
  13. When you are done, download your design to your computer as a .jpg
  14. Share your creation two ways....
    • Upload to Instagram and tag it #onlineunitstudies #stpatricksday @techiehomeschoolmom
    • Upload your picture to your family's "Online Unit Studies" Pinterest board. Write a description and send to Loving Learning Freely.
