Welcome to the Techie Homeschool Graphic Design with Canva Course!

Canva is a wonderful tool to use to get started with graphic design because everyone can use it. Bloggers, marketing companies, teachers, students and more use it to create effective graphic designs.

In this course, you will make DISCOVERIES as you watch videos and access websites about the fundamentals of graphic design. Then you will DO tutorials to learn how to use Canva, my favorite design tool. Lastly, you will DESIGN projects to put what you learned into practice. (Yay for applied learning!!)

Students are asked to upload their designs and provide encouraging feedback to other club members. Through this process, they will learn about online etiquette, a necessary skill in our techie world.

A few things to keep in mind...

  • You'll only get out of this what you put into it. If you joined an IRL class, would you miss the meetings? Or if you went, would you ignore the discussions? Well, this is our meeting place. And the comments within the lessons are our discussions. Check conversations as you go and add to them. Upload your designs and leave reviews for other students. Be involved!
  • I really hope this doesn't happen, but if anyone leaves inappropriate comments, I will message you with a warning. If it continues, I'll need to remove you from the course without notice.
