The Romans took the building of their roads very seriously. The saying “All roads lead to Rome” comes from the diligence of ancient Roman engineers in building their roads. These roads were built so well that many are still found today. Watch this video on how the ancient roads were built.

How to Build a Model of a Roman Road - Weird Unsocialized Homeschoolers

In our study of Ancient Rome, Josh and Megan enjoyed learning how to build a model of a Roman road. Brianna was in charge of the salt dough map, so I let Josh and Megan take charge of the road model. To build a road, the Ancient Romans first dug a ditch.
