Art Movement: Illustration Art

Norman Rockwell was an illustration artist. Illustration Art has been used for over 100 years and is still used today. It is a style of art that is used for “illustrating” stories, news, or life in general, and mostly found in newspapers, advertisements, covers of magazines, books, music album covers, comics, and political cartoons.

When you read a book with pictures, those are called, “illustrations.” They help you visualize the story. Illustration art is used mostly for publishing mediums, anything your read. Illustrations also help sell products in advertisements. They make life, stories, and products seem appealing and attractive. It draws us into something deeper than mere words can do.
